Re: middle sliding door track is grinding
for what it's worth, after an hour of fiddling I found that it IS Possible to renistall the middle slider while the sliding door is still attached top and bottom. It's fiddly as anything. to do it without removing everything, the door has to be "almost" closed (but not latched closed). I then had to...

Re: middle sliding door track is grinding
I have I think pinpointed the "problem" with my grinding sound when my middle door slider gets to the last 6 inches. it appears the small upper rollers are worn to the point where the do not hold the big roller away from the inside face of the middle track. so.....i've ordered a replacement middle s...

Re: middle sliding door track is grinding

Re: middle sliding door track is grinding
Looking at it more closely this morning, I expect that you are correct - that the small upper rollers are worn and so have a reduced diameter and so are not holding the bracket away from the inside face of the track they way they should can someone advise how I remove that bracket (with the rollers)...

middle sliding door track is grinding
greetings all! it's been awhile since I pestered the Forum (did you miss me?) even though (with your help) I managed to get all the systems working correct, we didn't manage to venture very far from home this summer - several circumstances conspired against travel. (among them though, the fact that ...

Re: flashing battery symbol
interesting. so you are saying it should be Okay to charge LiFePo batteries off a standard MB alternators? is that Voltage Regulator feature unique to MB alternators? or are boat alternators different from vehicle electrical systems if not I don't understand why everyone over here is so crazily anxi...

Re: where does the exhaust normally end /exit
I got it all reattached.
that clamp. must have been loose so it wiggled backwards and detached
but still, the exhaust spout is in the middle of the underside.
is that correct?

where does the exhaust normally end /exit
:( there truly is. never a dull moment with a James Cook. last night, just 15kms from home , our exhaust system fell off. we heard a loud Bang! and then a.much noisier engine. fortunately we turned around quickly and found it lying at the side of the road. miraculously it seems intact (and didn't de...

it feels good to be actually using it.

charging LiFePo batteries off an alternator (Yes? / No?)

I added this info as a post in a different thread if mine, but I thought I would isolate it here, as people.seem interested. I got this info from this video (from a boat guy, but the same principles ...
