Auto question (not sprint shift)

Hello

I am from the UK and currently travelling in Germany in my JC 2005 316 cdi auto. At this moment , I am in Cologne. My JC had a total of 96000km so not high. The gearbox service last xompleted 2021
On this trip, I have noticed that when in D, sometimes the gear 2-3 does not change. If I stop engine and commence journey in 1-2-3-4-D , there is no problem for remaining journey. I am just wondering what the problem may be. There is no visible leaks and otherwise , JC running great. I am wondering if any members in this area have access to software system to reset maybe ? I am in cologne until tomorrow.

I am not in the Cologne area and in general doubt that private members of this community can help you on the spot. I do have good experience with the official Mercedes dealers. If you choose to take the official Mercedes dealer make sure that they do not only passenger cars but also trucks / commercial vehicles. Sometimes they do have long working hours (e.g. until 9 pm). They should be able to help you with the analysis.
